- Trembling→ Being very afraid or being too afraid of someone or something.

- Pointing→ Stamping a sign on one thing to make it known or distinguish it from another, or to remember something afterward.

- Alone→Only an object or a person.

- Crying→ Shed tears.

- Outside→ Instead of.

GLOSSARY CHAPTER 1-2

 clerk - a person employed in an office or bank to keep records

waste - use or expend carelessly, extravagantly, or to no purpose

partner -  a pair of people engaged together in the same activity

dead - no longer alive

swing - move from one direction to its opposite

loudly -  produces much noise

chains - a series of linked metal rings used for fastening or securing something

striking - attracting attention by reason of being unusual, extreme, or prominent

GLOSSARY OF THE FIRST UNIT

vocabulary

pavement - the hard surface of a road or street

feather - any of the flat appendages growing from a bird's skin 

hoodie - a hooded sweatshirt, jacket, or another top.

sweatshirt - a loose, warm sweater, typically made of the cotton

cardigan - a usually collarless knitted sweater or jacket that opens down the front.

lonely - sad because one has no friends or company.

asleep - in a state of sleep.

mood - a temporary state of mind or feeling.

whisper - a soft or confidential tone of voice; a whispered word or phrase

Covid vocabulary

insolation - stay at home for a long period.

take the temperature -  to use a thermometer to find out if someone has a fever.

symptoms - a physical or mental feature 

endanger - put someone or something at risk or in danger.
